CROSS COUNTRY The Beds (and Bucks) County Championships were held at Shuttleworth College on Saturday 6th January 2018. It was a generally fine day and only as cold as a January day often is. Thanks to Biggleswade AC for doing most of the organisation and Richard Inchley for doing the entries and Steve Bowley the awards. Also our thanks to Bucks for their assistance with officials and collating results The results of the event are here Bedfordshire XC Champs results 2018.pdf The winners of the junior age groups will again be selected to represent the East of England at the London mini marathon. We are sending out letters to these with details and also sending letters to second and third place athletes in the event that first and possibly second will be unavailable. The SEAA Inter-County Championships were held at Horspath, Oxford on Saturday 9th December 2017. The Beds Schools County Championships will be at a venue TBC and date, TBC, in February 2018 from 2pm. The CAU Inter-County Championships were at Prestwold Hall, Loughborough on Saturday 10th March 2018. Any athletes wishing to be considered for the team (or their coaches), please contact either Richard Inchley (men's team manager) or Emma Coombes (women's team manager). NOTE: The first three (5 seniors) in each race at the County Champs will be guaranteed selection. Other dates are: South of England champs at Stanmer Park, Brighton on Saturday 27th January 2018. Note the Thameslink trains to Brighton are stopping at Three Bridges that weekend. Replacement bus service will operate to Brighton.
