TRACK AND FIELD The
2019 Open meeting promoted by the Bedfordshire AAA was held at Luton on
Saturday 6th April. It
was a cool day but some good results including one English Schools qualifying
mark. Thanks
to everybody who helped put the event on and the officials on the day. A
couple of field events ran slightly late as we lost four field officials for
various reasons during the day but thanks for bearing with us. Final results are here Beds
AAA Open Results - Luton - 6th April 2019.pdf We have now finalised results having added the >1.45M high jump result. The 2019 County Championships were at Bedford on Saturday 11th May. Thanks to everybody who helped put the championships
on and for those athletes that competed. It was a good day and the rain held
off. Results are below. Beds

In fact it is a lower distance BUT the old record was with a 10lb shot rather than the heavier 5kg which Jordan threw and so we have updated the record. Discus also saw two very old records broken. Zack Grinsted broke the U15B 13 year old record whilst Hannah Brunning broke the U15G record which had stood for 34 years! Raphael Bouju equalled the U20M 100M which was 16 years old. Chloe Kingman set an inaugural record for an U13G in the Pole Vault whilst Frankie Johnson improved his one year old U20M record. Jazz Sears did the same in the U20F triple jump whilst Eavion Richardson improved the SnrW 3 year old record in the same event The current list of all Championship Best Performances for females and males are below (May 2019). Beds AAA T&F (Female) CBP's as of May 2019.pdf Beds AAA T&F (Male) CBP's as of May 2019.pdf Note that due to lower entry numbers and lack of officials we are exploring a joint championship with Hertfordshire in future years. There ae twelve trophies awarded as part of the county championships. As these are not often on public display, we wanted to provide an online accessible record of previous winners. This is not yet a necessarily complete list and we will be updating further as we run through our records.
