Dunstable 10K, 22nd June, 2003
The second event in this years county championship took place on 22nd June, and was the Dunstable 10K.
Following days and days of scorching weather, it was a pleasant surprise to wake up to an overcast sky, light wind and
temperatures quite a few degrees down on previous days, although towards the end of the event the cloud broke, and temperatures soared upwards.
Overall, the senior male winner was Darren Deed in 31m37s, male vet winner was Pete Sibbett in 35m40s.
For the county, the senior male winner was Mark Draper in 33m31s, male vet winner was John Chapman in 37m07s.
Overall, the senior female winner was Claire McMahon in 39m05s, female vet winner was Tracey Haseldine in 44m38s.
For the county, the senior female winner was also Claire McMahon, female vet winner was Brenda Houghton in 57m18s.
