Welcome to the Bedfordshire AAA Web Site
COVID 19 UPDATE 19th OCTOBER
Luton and Bedford tracks remain closed and with some concerns around competition at Sandy we have decided to draw a line under Track and Field competition this year.
Note Luton is due to open on 2nd November and we hope that there will be movement at Bedford as well
Cross Country is also a challenge at the moment.
The Chiltern league has cancelled the first two races but does hope to host matches in December at Keysoe and January at Shuttleworth. It is no co-incidence that theser courses are on private land but there will still be challenges on numbers and would likely involve wave starts and possible events over two days.
The County champs are due to be hosted by Bucks this year and the intention is to use Campbell Park but as a public course there may be some challenges. It may be that a different course is used and also the champs may be delayed until later.
Also the remaining road race championships have also been cancelled for this year.
We will offer further updates as things become clearer.
We are planning to hold an AGM this year but it will be via Zoom and details will be issued soon. Also as a result we will carry over the county badge athletes awards to next year but a list of the eligible athletes for this year will be posted on the website shortly. There are a number of athletes who represented the county in the 19/20 cross country season before the lockdown
County Badge athlete lists for the last thirteen years are on About Us.
